March Madness – March 2023

March Madness is in full swing. The sweet 16 games are this weekend with all teams looking to punch their ticket to the final four on April 1st and 2nd held in Houston, TX at NRG Stadium home of the NFL team the Houston Texans. The NCAA Men’s finals will be played on Monday April 3rd. The following teams are in the 2023 NCAA Men’s Basketball Sweet 16:

  • UCLA Bruins – 2 seed

  • UConn Huskies – 4 seed
  • Tennessee Volunteers – 4 seed
  • Miami Hurricanes – 5 seed
  • San Diego State Aztecs – 5 seed
  • Creighton Blue jays – 6 seed
  • Michigan State – 7 seed
  • Arkansas Razorbacks – 8 seed
  • Florida Atlantic Owls – 9 seed
  • Princeton Tigers – 15 seed

*** On Saturday March 25th with winners going to Final Four

(9) Florida Atlantic defeated (3) Kansas State 79 to 76

*** On Sunday March 25th with winners going to Final Four

(6) San Diego State defeated (6) Creighton 57 to 56

 (5) Miami (2) Texas defeated 88 to 81

This will be the first Final Four appearance for (5) Miami, (6) San Diego State, and for (9) Florida Atlantic. The only experienced Final Four program in this year’s tournament is (4) UConn. Also, for the first time in NCAA Tournament history, all the #1 seeds have been eliminated before the Elite Eight.
